Ha-Sodot (original title) Genre: Drama

My first Israeli movie and this one was recommended by a friend of mine and it was lying around for a long time ... finally gave it a go and well ... I am impressed. A very nice touching story of two young girls from the orthodox community cross paths in a Jewish Seminary and along comes a French lady who is terminally ill and seeking redemption for her crimes in the past ... how the two girls rebel and help the dying lady in seeking redemption by the way of religious cleansing and in the process discover a truth that will change their lives for ever. Very impressive direction, screenplay, very crisp impressive background music and noteworthy art direction ... couple all that with fantastic acting by the two young girls and Fanny Ardant who plays the terminally ill lady ... other members of the cast who play smaller roles too do a good job and prove their talents worth. End product is a movie that deserve a standing ovation and a generous round of applause ... I say ... truly worth a watch ... gives a nice insight into the traditional Jewish orthodox way of life for young girls.

Rock stellar perfromances from the leads. The french actress (Fanny Ardant) does her bit too. I loved the ending.
